We all have a desire for community.  To be known and to know others genuinely.  This desired community is marked by unity, harmony and generosity.  But this desire is seldom realized in the human experience.  Too often our experiences are marked by isolation, division, conflict and selfish greed.  Something is wrong.  How can it be made right?

In 2 Corinthians, the Apostle Paul writes to a church community and teaches how the gospel informs and shapes their unity, harmony and generosity.  He finishes the letter with a blessing.  A blessing I love so much that I use it very often as my “benediction” at the end of Sunday Worship at New City Church.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God [the Father] and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. (2 Corinthians 13:14 ESV)

In this simple yet profound blessing Paul is teaching us a foundational truth about who God is.  God is a Trinity of Grace, Love, & Fellowship.

This past Summer we studied several foundational truths that help shape our faith in Jesus. Watch or listen to the sermon, God is a Trinity of Grace, Love, and Fellowship.  Feel free to post questions and interact via our Facebook page here.
